An unexpected and very discouraging struggle we have encountered helping our latest project family has been Christians who have judged her unworthy to be helped. My heart breaks at this thought. My Christian brothers and sisters desire to sit in the place of GOD and say ‘who is worthy to be loved, helped, made safe, fed and clothed’. They say she is not. The LORD said she was….HE said she was… all the way to the cross…where HE paid the highest price for her….HIS own blood.
Without the blood of Christ we all stand before GOD completely guilty. Yet how is it we manage to still point fingers at each other and say….oh no you are more guilty than I. We all deserve the same punishment, death. This is the beauty of grace. He looked down on us in our death, loved us and gave His own life for ours. We are fellow servants commanded to love our neighbor, be humble, be obedient and walk in faith. This is truth…...
He created her. She is His precious child. He bought her. He LOVES her. How can I sit by and say she is not worthy of my help?
Jas 2:1-5 My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory. For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, "You sit here in a good place," while you say to the poor man, "You stand over there," or, "Sit down at my feet," have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?

Amazing
This weekend it was amazing to watch how God worked through Purple Lemonade! It was our first official collection event as Purple Lemonade. All the people we talked to were so excited to help! We were greeted with many warm smiles and encouragement. Sometimes I forget to look for the hand of God moving every day in my life, but you could not miss it this weekend.
We recieved many things this weekend from food, clothing, coutches, chairs, beds, bedding, shower curtains, shoes, blankets, soaps, cleaners, lamps, pillows, office supplies....and much more. The incrediable inflow always is amazing. And just to think that the things we collect would have just gone to the land fill, but now it can help someone. This puts a huge smile on my face! We collected an overflowing stock trailer full that is going to West Texas to help a sweet lady set up a home for her and her small flock of children. She has 4 children of her own and 3 that were abandoned by their parents. The home we are helping to prepare will provide them a safe place as they escape a very difficult situation.
I was reminded of this verse this weekend as we loaded the trailer and sweat dripped from our tired forheads. James 1:27 "Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: is to visit orphans and widows in their troubles, and to keep ones self unspotted from the world." This was my encouragement, and my hope.
One of my favorite things about this ministry is to watch how the LORD works in the hearts of the givers to give something that the recipients so desperately needs. For example, one student donated her bathroom set to us and when we gave it to the recipient she stated that it was the exact one she had wanted for her home, if she could have picked! In things like this the LORD is whispering to me....I truly am in control, I can do more than you can even think or imagine, I have started this good work, I know it fully and I will finish it completely, work hard unto Me and I will carry you....
